“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:35–36)

These words of Jesus constantly strike our hearts. And these words of Jesus are part of the reason why we meet Sunday nights instead of Sunday mornings. For the past six months, we’ve spent Sunday mornings bringing food, water, clothing, and the love of Jesus to an area with several hundred homeless people. The results are tangible. We have seen people’s hearts change, and we have seen people give their lives to Jesus. We’ve also given out dozens of Bibles, and we’ve also fed many, many hungry people! It’s amazing to see God work when all you do is bring coffee and donuts along with some clothes, chairs, and the shade of a canopy. “Pull up a chair and have some coffee and donuts with us (and Jesus),” we like to say. Stop for the one, friends. It’s so worth it for the Kingdom!
